I miss you - Beyonce (4, 2011)
I miss you. Like, everyday.
I’m surprised that I rather like the new Bey album, given the lackluster singles released prior to Countdown. If only she’d stop oversinging some of these songs, this would’ve been an incredible album. Nevertheless, I miss you is as beautiful as anything she’d ever done in R&B genre, if not the mostest of them all. And the album is solid from beginning to end (and the first Bey album I listened to in its entirety in one go?).

Our Riotous Defects (ft. Janelle Monáe) - Of Montreal (False Priest @ Amazon; via Tsururadio)

This track cracks me up. Kevin Barnes, he really did it! He bred an incredibly manic, hilarious, infectious indie R & B baby! I know I say this every time I listen to something new that I’m excited about, but this really is a contender for record of the year. The only less than superawesome tracks are the opener and the closer, but that’s only because everything in between is, well, godly intersex.
That totally makes sense.
